| Our campground complex is the closest campground to the Castle Rock Trailhead on the Pinnacle Creek Trails of the world-famous Hatfield-McCoy Trails System. Only 2 1/2 miles from the trailhead..........Camp & Ride directly to the trails..........no need to trailer your ATVs or dirtbikes to the trailhead. The Pinnacle Creek Campground is located next to the Pinnacle Creek Country Store, Pinnacle Creek Lodge and Whistlestop Cafe.........all part of what is commonly known as Pinnacle Creek Village..........a retail center offering a convenience store, gas services, food, lodging and a great restaurant operation. 12 full-service sites that include electric (20,30, 50 amp), water, sewer and cable TV. -
Sites vary in sizes with the largest being 30' X 55". -
Sites are available to use as RV, Travel Trailer or Tent sites. -
Bathroom facilities, with hot showers are available. -
In order to handle continuous ATV traffic, all sites consist of compacted gravel with an embedded road pad to control most erosion and to provide adequate drainage and to maintain semi-firm surface conditions during all weather conditions. -
Each site has a small grassy area for general pedestrian usage. Vehicles are not permitted on the grass. -
A picnic table and a fire ring, with an adjustable grill, are installed at each site. -
A commercial laundry facility is located about 1 mile away. -
Hatfield-McCoy Trails System trail permits are sold on-site. -
Ice, firewood, vehicle fuels and other standard consummables are available at the Pinnacle Creek Country Store.....located at the same site. -
Food services are available at the adjacent Whistlestop Cafe.....open from 5:00 am until midnight.....each night. -
Most major credit cards are accepted. Personal checks are not accepted. -
Camp and ride directly to the trailhead on your ATV or dirtbike. |
